There’s always something new to discover and no two playthroughs are alike. PROCEDURALLY GENERATED CAVE NETWORK: Explore a network of procedurally generated cave systems filled with enemies to fight and riches to collect. But proceed with caution, you don’t want to stumble into an alien swarm unprepared! Drill straight down to your objective or build an intricate network of paths to explore your surroundings - the choice is yours. There is no set path so you can complete your mission your way. Mow through enemies as the Gunner, scout ahead and light up the caves as the Scout, chew through solid rock as the Driller, or support the team with defensive structures and turrets as the Engineer.įULLY DESTRUCTIBLE ENVIRONMENTS: Destroy everything around you to reach your goal. You will need to rely on your teammates if you want to survive the most hostile cave systems in the galaxy!Ĥ UNIQUE CLASSES: Pick the right class for the job. I'm writing this in 22 March 2022 and Elden Ring has received a patch to address performance, but the stuttering is still far lower on Linux via Proton.Official Steam activation code for redeeming the game Deep Rock Galactic on your Steam account.ġ-4 PLAYER CO-OP: Work together as a team to dig, explore, and fight your way through a massive cave system filled with hordes of deadly enemies and valuable resources.

This has essentially eliminated stuttering when playing the game via Proton. Valve compiled their own shaders and distributed them to players utilizing Proton. This was(is?) an issue with shader streaming. Some people experienced smooth gameplay while others experienced some significant stuttering. It released with performance all over the place. A good example of this would be Elden Ring. I should add that with newer versions of proton leveraging the latest versions of VKD3D and DXVK, performance is likely to increase. There are a couple launch issues in certain Proton versions that I'll cover in a later section. As for bugs, there aren't any new bugs that aren't already in the Windows version. Using Proton 5.13-6 (integrated directly with steam) performance is a little lower compared to Windows. Under Proton 6.10-GE-1 (a custom build of proton) performance was on par with the Windows version. How is performance under Proton All performance statements are based on my experience playing DRG on my computer.
